Puddle Hat

I finally finished this!!! I made a crochet ear-flap hat that features the likeness of Puddle; Rain's pet rabbit from :icon JocelynSamara 's webcomic "Rain".

The hat is result of a Frankenstitch (in which I borrowed elements of different patterns and in some instances flat-out made stuff up) using sometimes and I hook, sometimes a G hook and also an acrylic/nylon blend yarn as well as cotton/acrylic blend yarn and some straight up 100% acrylic yarns. The eyes and insides of the ears are also completely crochet; the nose and mouth are embroidered. The ties are simply braided with a tassel at the ends.

I can't count the hours this took me to make because of the number of time I frogged it (for the uninitiated that means I ripped it all the way back into yarn)and started over or had to reposition the ears or eyes, but I've been working on it for just about a month. I honestly don't know if I will make another one since this one was so difficult, but I will put this up on the Etsy store, RainComicStore www.etsy.com/shop/RainComicSto… It's not something I would wear around myself, I feel like I'm a little old for it now that I'm in my 30's. Otherwise, I'd never let it go!
